about

PRESS RELEASE:
Smoked from their holes come Brigadier Ambrose, avoiding natural daylight, prepared for a fight and armed up to here with their first single release for 5 years.

‘Jambon Dandy’ is a psych-punk fancy-dan – a whizzing 2-and-a-half-minute trip around the block discussing, amongst other things, the difficulty of finding the right relish to go with your picnic and an arduous bus journey through the Catford Gyratory.

‘Jambon Dandy’ tips its hat towards Blur, Reeves & Mortimer, the Super Furry Animals and Victorian Britain, continuing pretty much exactly where Brigadier Ambrose left off (with their previous 5 singles all earning generous airplay from Radcliffe & Maconie, Gideon Coe and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio One, Two and 6 Music, including live sessions at Maida Vale).
