Original press release:
Ransacked and flummoxed, heightened and stretched - here come Brigadier Ambrose and their debut album FUZZO. Fuzz fresh and fuss free!
Just 30 months have passed since the Chatham art-birds released their debut single 'How Popular You Are' to critical acclaim and national airplay (nods to Huw Stephens, Phill Jupitus, Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie amongst others) - 3 similarly successful other singles followed in the same punk-psych-twee-pop soup. Then came FUZZO.
FUZZO is 12 new songs of sprawling patch-work pop; psych Northern Soul on 'Helium'; distraught circus music on 'Mind Reel'; shimmering Smiths-janglings on 'Waif & Strays'. Brigadier Ambrose have made an album that achieves everything the early acclaim predicted and more.
